Comment on I know the stork, and you ma’am are no stork! by pumpingsunshine http://atthepump.net/2008/01/15/i-know-the-stork-and-you-maam-are-no-stork/#comment-839 pumpingsunshine Mon, 17 Nov 2008 02:45:05 +0000 http://atthepump.net/2008/01/15/i-know-the-stork-and-you-maam-are-no-stork/#comment-839 Kerrie, First of all, thank you for your comment! I think that the artistic efforts that go into creating the "3D art" is astounding. I would never have the patience to breath realism into one of the kits. So, let me go on record as saying that I do consider Reborn Babies to be incredible expressions of talent, patience, and love. Even though I still think that baby parts boiling away in a pot is a bit creepy. I personally am confused as to why someone would feel the need to take a doll - a wonderful piece of artwork - outside and put it into a car seat. And I have watched videos and have read testimonials from women (very few men seem to be attached to the babies in the way that some women are). I can not grasp the reason that anyone would want to carry a "baby" around all day. I would love to hear any explanation as to why there is such an attachment. My Aunt collected dolls and held them all in high esteem. She had them all over her house, some in highchairs, some sitting in doll chairs, and some standing in corners peeking out at people. She even named all of her dolls. What she didn't do was take them out of the house and walk them around and treat them as an actual child. I would really love for someone to explain that emotion and the desire behind the bond. By the way, I visited your site and your babies are amazing. Truly 3D art! Kerrie,

I look forward to reading more of your Blogs and what will happen in the coven next...will Igor get the right colour paint ???
